Anne Slowey Hunts for America’s Next Top … Magazine Editor?

Just how possible is it to advocate environmental sustainability and run a fashion mag? Just ask Anne Slowey, the theatrically menacing editor at Elle. Taking to the CW (see what wonders that did for 90210), Slowey summons a diverse crew of young hopefuls and inducts them into her elaborate power play in order to find the glossy's next junior editor. I suppose that's more effective now that wannabes aren't so eager to intern at the magazine. Although I'm hedging my bets on fewer love triangles and no Amazonian trannies, tonight's premiere of Stylista promises just as many displays of editorial solipsism as Ugly Betty, if not more.
