Calexico Takes the Vendy, Makes a Home

Calexico, the Cal-Mex winner of the "Best Street Food Vendor" in the 2008 Vendy Awards in New York, buoyed by a successful win, is set to open a brick and mortar in Red Hook sometime in 2009. The Calexico cart usually sits at Prince and Wooster, with the three Vendley Brothers (Jesse, Brian, Dave) serving up mouthwatering carne asada burritos.
