Can Miley Cyrus Do Batgirl Justice in ‘Dark Knight’ Sequel?

So that possibly Nolan-less Dark Knight sequel due in 2011? There's a bit of (more) bad news for it. Miley Cyrus may be stepping in as Batgirl. Which is frustrating, as a month ago, we had a nearly perfect casting for Batman 3 sewn up. But then again, Hollywood's been off its game lately. What's worse is that Cyrus apparently made a positive impression on Warner Bros. execs, even donning her own costume and scribbling up her own dialogue.

Blabs someone allegedly on the inside at the time of the audition., “She was sort of hopping around the room and had even written some dialogue for herself.” Ah! Sounds like fine acting, alright! “The problem is, some people aren’t really convinced Miley has the acting chops to pull it off.” More importantly, will people be convinced that Cyrus can one-up Alicia Silverstone (who portrayed the role in Batman & Robin) ?

And for that fact, could she actually stack up against Yvonne Craig, who was the original Batgirl on the original series?

Clearly the answer is a firm “No” on both counts.
