Make an early dinner reservation, then head over to Grant Park to watch election night live with Obama.
1. Chicago Firehouse - Classic American dishes served in a restored firehouse in the South Loop.
2. Eleven City Diner - A Jewish-style deli serving up the old New York schtick.
3. Oysy - The South Loop's premier sushi spot is here to stay.
4. Zapatista - Palatial restaurant and bar incongruously named after early-1900s Mexican revolutionaries.
5. Gioco - Traditional Chicago-style Italian in the South Loop.
6. Tavern at the Park - The team behind Keefer’s offers a menu that’s just a little less expensive.
7. Park Grill - Sweeping views, live entertainment, and the awesome alfresco dining will make you forget that this is a tourist trap.
8. The Gage - It may not have the coolest people inside, but its prime location across the street from Millennium Park makes it a spot worth checking out.
9. Russian Tea Time - Charming Uzbekistani veggie-friendly restaurant with cold vodka flights and warm borscht.
10. Lockwood - A fine-dining establishment that’s a class act, even though it has the Hilton name behind it.
