Having been born to renowned French filmmaker Jacques Doillon and the arrestingly beautiful actress Jane Birkin, it’s little surprise Lou Doillon has pursued careers in both fashion and film. The statuesque brunette landed her first role alongside her mother in Kung-Fu Master, and has since garnered equal attention by modeling for everyone from Gap to Givenchy.
Her inimitable punk rock-meets-runway style has also landed her a three-year stint as designer of a capsule collection for Brit denim brand Lee Cooper (a partnership slated to continue through 2010). But this past Saturday in Paris at John Galliano’s presentation, Doillon revealed to WWD that she has another prospective career path up her especially fashionable sleeves—that of boutique owner. Currently in search of the perfect Paris location for her new store, Doillon promises, once open, it will house “a mix of fashion, literature, modern and old, with more of an English than French influence, and not conventional.” Bien sûr.
