Jon Bakhshi of Home and Guest House is set to open a new club this October. While New Yorkers may not necessarily need another dance-off pants-off joint, this venue will bring something new to the New York scene, something beyond writhing women dancing in skimpy dresses. This time there will be writhing women dancing in skimpy dresses inside an eco-conscious club. Get wasted and feel socially responsible, it’s genius. Greenhouse will be LEED certified (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), and among other initiatives, the club will feature recycled flooring, low-voltage lamps, organic alcohol, and efficiency toilets. Dare we hope for strategically placed planters of wheatgrass?
