People respond to Billy Gilroy because he has character, demonstrated character which he has shown in the course of his life when he has faced his own challenges and risen to them. This and the facts the he has personality, a broad range of interests and can speak of many subjects with knowledge and an interesting point of view. Also not to be lost sight of: he is a real born and raised New Yorker, raised on the streets of Manhattan. He shoots straight, when he shoots at all.

I have know Billy and his brother Jimmy for many years, they grew up a block away from me in Queens, but I havent seen them since Jimmy was about 16 years old. Its always good to see that good people haven’t been trampled by our environment. Sort of like French Chef, Michael Glickhouse, another neighbor.

I grew up with Billy Gilroy in Linden Hill Coop. Last saw him about 15 years ago. He hadn’t changed. Always new he would be sucesssful.. After all he did get his start as a Redbook model. So glad to read about him and his continued journey in the NY market… Bravo !!
Mr. G.
