Uncle Stevie- How could you forget that 530 27th St was also home to Twilo and the original Sound Factory before it moved to 46th St.?

The NYPD have proved time and time again, that the majority of their organization is full of neo-nazis whom have been enabled commit acts of communism for too long.We (the tax payers) let them take over the entire city (which is why New York has been in such a severe police state) for way too long.Ive always personally felt that the community boards were a severe threat to the City’s nightlife industry but maybe the NYPD is that, times 3.Just imagine those who would have been out of a job,had Pacha been forced completely out of business. The NYPD have shown themselves as racists, homophobes and nightlife haters. The gays have gotten hit the hardest after all of this anti-nightlife propaganda gained traction. The NYPD should be scrutinized for their actions, not just against nightlife but all of the corrupted acts they have committed over the years.Call me cynical but,I feel that the NYPD has this hidden prejudice against nightlife to the point that they will stop at nothing to completly destroy the industry itself and the communities that nightlife tends to form. Most of this anti-nightlife stuff started attacking the gays and now its attacking the overall industry and that is a disgrace let alone a nuisance to those the industry employs.Btw,I would sure like to see the old ROXY space at 515 west 18th as a dancefloor again and NOT as a defunct abandoned building.

I concur John.NYPD has used the ridiculous invalid argument that clubs are a danger to society and that its a strain on their resources.Ok first off,it wouldnt be a strain on their resources if they didnt waste tax payer’s money setting clubs up and disrupting their business by raiding them and putting a strain on them financially and then bending over backwards to make sure these clubs are shot to hell and out of business. Its all about these cops boosting their ego and abusing power in which (in reality) they really do not have.

its a joke--THE NYPD SENDS DRUG DEALERS INTO NIGHTCLUBS TO SET UP DRUG BUYS!!! and then they dont arrest the dealers, so they really dont care about keeping drugs off the streets only about closing down nightclubs.

Maybe this will encourage a comeback from the Once captial of Nightlife which was NYC. It will take alot of effort from the idustry and the people of Nyc. In the meantime come to London which is THE CAPITAL OF NIGHTLIFE!!! Maybe NYC will rise from the ashes.
