Two questions:

1) When Mr. Jah refers to a ‘stronger city summer’ does he mean more crowded? Will the open air venues start to overflow with patrons and will the operators have to become even more selective in letting people in as space becomes an issue?

2) Does you think it make sense for more clubs and lounges to extend hours and offer happy hours like bars do or brunches like Merkato, or does the operating cost outweigh the finanical gains of being open from 5-10PM?

Have fun.

yes he means more crowded and more money being spent. solid doorman are beeing used at most establishments. it’s a play it by ear thing.

some clubs arent geared for happy hours… location and layout and other factors dictate whether it will work. are there working stiffs nearby? do you want them in the room at 10pm does it cut into your corporate biz.etc

I attended brunch at Hudson Terrace this past weekend and I was not disappointed. The atmosphere was great as was the food. I loved the sangria and sun. It was a bit crowded and warm, I hope they adjust the surroundings, add some shaded areas to accommodate the impending summer, but who can control the sun? I still dug the vibe. Thanks for the tip
