BlackBook & Basil Hayden Toast Summer in Style

This past Saturday, Basil Hayden enlisted BlackBook to throw a bonafide bash in that most venerable of New Yorkish getaways, the Hamptons. Designer Rebecca Minkoff (whose fall 2008 line of small leather goods elicited oohs and aahs all around) was the delovely host at Rob James and Harriette De Jersey's sprawling Water Mill home. Guests sipped on a variety of luxe bourbon creations, all with apropos appellations such as the Basil Fizz, Basil Salute, Basil Twist, and our definite favorite, the Basil Juicy. In typical Hamptons style, certain, um, VIPS arrived fashionably late via sizable boat where they were greeted by DJ Ace's crowd-pleasing set of classic 80s mixed with rockin' soul and indie gems.
