‘Heroes & Villains’ Moves to San Francisco

Aspiring to deify artists who exist on the art-world periphery -- already a fringe culture -- is a lofty goal. But photographers Tatiana Willis and Roman Cho's attempt produces such stellar results that we'll forgive them a grasp that may exceed their collaborative reach. In their series "Heroes & Villains," the pair make subjects out of artists whose works wouldn't exactly find a space on MoMA's walls. Some include Liz McGrath, Audrey Kawasaki, and Shepard Fairey. Though parts of the series have already been featured in Time and Juxtapoz, the set is on display through July 17 in its entirety at San Francisco's White Walls. You can also see our gallery of the show from its Culver City stop.
