Awww...His character doesn’t get any love in the book and it sounds like it isn’t gonna get any in the movie either.

But Mike has all the qualities of a Golden Retriever and Jess has a huge thing for him lol
I like Mike/Mike, I think he’s pretty awesome actually and I’m sure Mike has done an awesome job portraying Mike.
Honestly, I think Mike Welch has himself a bit of a following since he signed on as Mike Newton, I hope he’s getting a lot of love ;0)

So cute!! Never even heard of Mike until this film and now I find myself researching EVERYTHING he’s done. So even if we don’t see him much in the movie, he still won’t be over-shadowed by everyone else. AND we’ll keep our eyes open for more of him on his future projects.

So there is a lot of love.

I didn’t mean to downplay Mike/Michael’s role in the movie and the book. It’s good to know that Bella attracts normal human beings instead of just the nocturnal variety.

PS. It’s Resalin...I do know how to spell my own name. (Most of the time).

*rolls eyes* I am so sick of people talking about Eclispe knocking off HP. If they r tryin to use that excuse to say that Twilight is better, it’s a very weak and stupid excuse. HP 7 sold more than ALL of the Twilight saga books so shut the f&*k up.

i agree completely with the comment before me.
You don’t need to bring up harry potter to write a good article on twilight. It really pisses me off, i love harry potter AND twilight, this sort of thing really puts me off twilight. It’s rather pathetic to be honest, you can say that eclipse got to the number one spot, but there’s no need to say that it beat harry potter.

Nice, C. Why are you reading about Twilight if you don’t like it so much???

I love Mike/Mike. He is so awesome! I’m sure they will make New Moon and Eclipse into a movie, as well. Twilight is definitely not going to crash. There are a lot of Twilighters out there, ready to go see the movie. smile

you really shouldn’t compare the numbers of sold HP7 and Eclipse books. Compare it with HPatPoA.

And I do like Mike/Mike, too. Like A. Lincoln Mike Welch made me like Mike Newton even more.

C, I think you misunderstood the point about Harry Potter. It is a best selling series and a cultural phenomenon, and as both are fantasy series involving young people with supernatural abilities, it is an obvious comparison. Saying that a Twilight book outsold a HP book is a reference point that the vast majority of our culture can understand. No one is trying to downgrade either series.

C,

You’re misunderstanding the Harry Potter reference. Harry Potter is an international phenomenon and a best-selling series. For a book to outsell Harry Potter shows its vast success and popularity, which is a reference that the majority of our readers can relate to, as we all know damn well that HP is extremely popular. Plus, they are both series about supernatural teenagers. It isn’t about tearing down either series; it’s an easy reference point.

No, Eclipse never outsold HP. What, that day it came out it only sold a little over 100,000 copies, while HP7 sold 15 million copies, IN IT’S FIRST DAY!! Twilight didn’t outsell anything.
