Icon Redux: Dance of the Sugarplum Fairies
Chris Mohney
December 10, 2008
We did James Dean, then Truman Capote vs. Marlon Brando, and now it's time for a little seasonal cheer. In the third installment of Icon Redux from BlackBook and Two Penguins Productions, Brooklyn's contemporary-baroque dance troupe Company XIV re-imagines "Dance of the Sugarplum Fairies" from The Nutcracker. Lust! Pursuit! Avarice! Sexy twirling! Be sure to check out the story behind the scenes, too. Happy holidays.

Wow, the costumes and the dancing are both impeccable!! Who doesn’t enjoy a little style with their christmas cheer! And funny out-takes to boot! In a “nutshell,” I think this Company XIV is going places!
