Dear LAX: You Suck
October 23, 2009
Frequent fliers (those who have traveled an average of 17 times over the last two months) have voted, and all 14,500 agree: LAX is a terrible airport. In fact, it's the third most terrible airport in the world, eclipsed only by Charles De Gaulle in Paris and London's Heathrow airport. Rounding out the top five worst airports in the world are Frankfurt International and Miami International. So what makes LAX so bad?
Well, it’s a tossup between the merry-go-round style of the terminals (only accessible by car, or by hoofing it), the cramped seating arrangements, and the terrible sound systems. It’s a good thing there’s a scheduled $1 billion expansion planned for the Tom Bradley International Terminal, expected to be completed sometime in 2013. Apparently the airport hasn’t seen any repairs or overhauls since the 1984 Olympic Games.
Christopher Reynolds of the Los Angeles Times wrote a top ten list of things he’d like to see changed at LAX; highlights include fainting couches and a nightclub, but the most sensible would be a simple, easy way to connect to mass transit.

Ease of access to Mass Transit is so important! You have to hike from one of the parking lots to get any of the buses that leave out of LAX!!, it sucks!!!!!!! , especially if you have luggage struggling with.
