Lil Wayne Sales, Not So Lil

The record industry lives to see another day. Just when all hope for the Compact Disc was lost, Lil’ Wayne manages to sell 1,005,545 of them. His long-awaited, much-delayed album Tha Carter III is the first record to sell over a million since 50 Cent’s The Massacre in 2005. We’re not going to analyze why this happened (mix-tapes blah blah). It’s just nice to know Weezy will be able to drink all the Purple Drank his lil’ heart desires.

I’m so happy for lil wayne. i don’t know him personally, but i feel like i do since he’s from the N>O as i am. i knew them when they were nothing but street thugs. at least he did something with the thugging.
