Michael Kors Goes ‘Gossip Girl’

It's safe to say Michael Kors is a huge TV fan. When he's not sitting in a judge's chair for the juggernaut that is Project Runway, he's watching Mad Men -- the breakout show and its early-1960s setting was an inspiration for Kors' fall 2008 collection. He even hosted a viewing party for the new season premiere. And it turns out Kors is also into Gossip Girl.
WWD reports that Kors just filmed a cameo on the hit teen show. Kors plays himself in the fashion week episode, which took place at Capitale on the Bowery. He says of the show, “I was glued into Gossip Girl from Day One, I think it truly is the ‘car-crash-that’s-glamorous.’ Probably to the consternation of certain people on the Upper East Side, they really get it. It’s a pretty clear picture of how a lot of these kids really are.” May we expect a GG-inspired collection for spring 2009?
