I said if Robert Downey Jr. can clean himself up he would be a great actor. I was right. I’ve always liked Mickey Rourke. He has the ability to be a great actor. We all have fuses that are lit certain times in our lives. Whether we succumb to the fire or let it light our way is the decisions we all make. Mickey deserves another shot, a second chance, like all of us do some times in our lives. I think ‘The Wrestler’ has Oscar written all over it.

I love Mickey Rourke and am so glad to see him back.  I will also really look forward to seeing his other movies as well. The fact that his acting was so memorable from years ago says a lot in itself.  Having a temper and behaving badly is something we all learn about in our life time, but it makes for more interesting people and people with much deeper personalities.  No doubt the some find it hard to understand and nurture.  We salute you Mickey and so look forward to seeing you to continue to flower.  You deserve the Oscar and so much more.  We are pulling for you!!
