Naomi Campbell Retrospective to Hit Art Basel
October 29, 2008
Kate Moss isn’t the only supermodel enjoying the homage of a major art exhibition. Not only has full-time supermodel (and sometimes law-abiding citizen) Naomi Campbell signed on to play host to the second annual exhibition of "In Fashion Photo," which hits Miami Art Basel this December -- she’ll simultaneously be honored with a "Naomi Campbell Retrospective."
The former will include more than 250 fashion photographs from the likes of Greg Kadel, Solve Sundsbo, Michael Thompson, and Walter Chin. The latter, on the other hand, will solely feature shots of Campbell by such boldface shutterbugs as Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, Bruce Weber, Patrick Demarchelier, Jean Paul Goude, and Ellen Von Unwerth. In other words, the exhibition overall will serve as a bit of a hodgepodge of some of the most striking images in fashion photography from the last decade. And with Campbell hosting the show’s opening on December 2, it’s sure to be one of the festival’s most talked about fêtes.

This should really be fun and I am sure it will be a big hit. I hope it will be a huge success.
