I love Gervais.  Love him.  I’m American, and think he’s great.  First saw “The Office” on a flight from Amsterdam to Iceland.  Had to take my headphones off and stare out the window because I was laughing so hard and I didn’t want my fellow passengers to think I was disturbed.  Love him.

But (forgive me)… that #8 one about Millman on Extras.  He basically RAILED on “Big Brother” and all who would watch it…

And yet, Gervais admits (wildly, openly) that he’s a “Big Brother” watcher.  He watches, and he hates/loves the folks on it.  So, that’s kind of confused me… does he, in real life, REALLY hate all the things Millman said?  Or was it just a smart capper to a very intelligent, hilarious, thoughtful series?

Long time Ricky fan; Comedy genius. I’m confused by number 8 as well though… He said he HATES all the things Millman said but then says that it was basically just his opinions… How does that make sense lol… So he hates his own opinions.. :S

Jiff - I think I remember him saying it was the celebrity version of Big Brother which he despised. That said it’s always possible he’s just a giant hypocrite since he’s also a big fan of Heat (Heat is a British magazine for women and gay men which deals almost entirely with celebrity gossip).

Check out his old XFM radio show and the podcasts, they’re mainly awesome for Karl Pilkington but you also get to understand Ricky’s complexity a bit better. He’s a sensitive showoff who is torn between being a tortured artist and hitting his colleagues on the head whilst making loud noises at them.

He means he hates everything Andy talks about in his speech, ie. certain celebrity and press behaviour, bb etc. Ricky’s the greatest comedian of all time looking forward to the films!

Agree except for the last point. No sane person would want to be freinds with Coldplay or Madonnas those vapid and mediocre cunts!

Nice one Rick, keep it coming!  Can’t wait for the new series of the Pod Casts and good luck with the new movie!

By the way, get Karl to check out the “Tree Man” on you tube, I Think he’ll love it :o)

I’m not going to say i love ricky. Because i’m not gay. But i do love his friendship with the gimp-featured freak that is Karl. I am truly jealous of that.

I’d suck dick to meet him.

Actually i’m not that desperate. However i would probably cry if i met him.

Imagine sitting in a quiet pub with Steve, Rick and Karl. Having a few quiet drinks whilst ripping the shit out of Karl’s gonad shaped nut.

My idea of a perfect evening. WOuld say no to some grub before that though.
