Robin Williams Crashes Party for Timo’s Neckwear

Hey, remember that kid in high school who you were all like, "wow, they’re really going to be something someday?" And maybe you were sorta jealous but not really, because you were going to be something too, right? Then one day, you bump into them on the street and they are totally married to, like, Paul Rudd and hanging out with Brangelina, and their TV show is doing really well, and maybe they’ve discovered a cure for diabetes, and you’re like, okay, that was fast. That’s kind of how we felt about Timo Weiland last night, minus the Brangelina-Rudd-Diabetes trifecta, as he celebrated the launch of Timo. Neckwear, with a few hundred of his nearest and dearest (Robin Williams, with son Zach), while his talent hung blindingly bright from every corner of the Phillips de Pury and Company building. We’re not jealous though, cuz we totally have our own line coming out soon too.

At one time our friend went by Timo!, when he was designing wallets. Now, dropping the ‘!’ for a more refined ‘.’, Timo presented an array of pieces ranging from demure to avant-guard. The line was hanging from the headless necks of mannequins, the chubless bodies of models, and the shirtless chest of one very busty ‘Vivian.’ Among the nakedness, Ally Hilfiger came to bode her support to keeping necks fashionable, as did Alan Rish, Peter Davis, Page Six-er Liam McMullan, Phillip Lim, one of the most attractive looking people I’ve ever seen, aka Luigi Tadini, and did we mention Robin Williams?

The usual suspects who are never suspect were also on hand to cheer on their friend. Leven Rambin, back from La La Land, and BlackBook’s new St. Barts editors Kristian Laliberte and Devorah Rose, the lovely designer Catherine Fulmer, artist David Foote, and Annabel Vartanian, as well as Guest of a Guest’s Scott Buchheit and Naeem Delbridge. Okay really, a whole bunch of people I really like and admire were present, so if I have to write down one more name, I may just die of jealousy. Just kidding Timo, we’re really proud of you.
