Sarah Palin Red Shoes Update: Payless?!?

Earlier, we theorized that the particular flava of red shoes worn by Sarah Palin in last night's vice presidential debate must be none other than designer Sergio Rossi. However, a few attempts at confirmation yielded not just one but several denials -- plus one possibly shocking if sensibly priced revelation.
Not only does Sergio Rossi deny that Sarah Palin is wearing their shoes—we also received back-channel negatories from Giuseppe Zanotti, Vicini, Te Casan, Manolo Blahnik, Christian Dior, Christian Louboutin, Stuart Weitzman, Ferragamo, Oscar de la Renta, Cole Haan, Giorgio Armani, and Yves Saint Laurent. Let the record reflect that rarely have we seen quicker publicist action to issue denials than regarding this particular issue, by the way. Make of that what you will! Nevertheless, if we know to a degree who Palin wasn’t wearing, then what’s the deal? One informed source suggested the ”Lance Flex Point Patent Pump” from none other than Payless house brand “Fioni.” At $19.99, it’s the perfect shoe to kick the tails of those doggone Wall Street greedypants.

She is very down to earth and NO I don’t think that with 5 kids she would spend any $$$$ on Manolo Shoes or any expensive name brands. The jackets are from Chico’s, that I know for sure because I have a couple of jackets like she has worn in the past. LOVE HER!

And seriously, smart? She composed herself well; I’ll give her that; but by no means did she come even close to Biden. I can’t even remember how many times she skirted around the issue at hand by turning back to her “energy” policy. FYI, she was completely off about carbon emissions. Her proposal for that was more drilling. Now that’s just logical fallacy…
I can’t believe there are still people in this country who have faith in the McPalin ticket. Who could possibly vote for four more years of Bush?

I’m pretty sure they’re Kate Spade Karolinas. I like the idea of her wearing Payless but if you really look, they aren’t much alike at all. Plus, I doubt she would put herself through the torture of standing in one place for an hour and a half in Payless pumps. No offense meant but in a situation like that comfort is absolutely essential.

Kate Spade Karolinas do not come in that color, but you are right they are more textured than the payless shoes. some one please find out what they really are! And who was her suit buy??? It fit her perfectly!!!

Don’t know about the shoes but I did notice she had a habit of pursing her lips. I looked into what that is supposed to signify - Disapproval and a blind unwillingness to change, typically resulting in ignorance. Sounds like more Bush administration. Thanks but no thanks

Interesting how you can take an article about what brand of shoes Governor wears and turn it into a political statement for Obama. I hope he loses because I have stock in Lilly drug and the Obamabots will need so much Prozac I’ll make a bundle. As for the shoes, I’d like to think they were Payless but if not I’d doubt they were designer. I’d think she’d be more practical and cost conscious.

Why not comment on Palin’s shoes? BlackBook is all about the meeting of style and substance. Props to her for being sensible style but she’s completely lacking in subtance.
