Score Stella McCartney for Cheap: Wear Children’s Clothes!

Some of the biggest news to hit fashion outlets this week is coverage of the launch of Stella McCartney's capsule collection for the GAP. The reason the debut is turning some consumers green: it's just for kids. That is, unless you're petite and, or pretty thin. The team at Grazia headed to Oxford Circus GAP flagship store in London this week to test out the theory that skinny fashion editors can totally wear Stella McCartney for GAP kids -- an endeavor documented in a pretty entertaining video here. The consensus: if you're a skinny fashion editor or blessed with a small foot, there's plenty of merch available for under $100.
In the video, the Grazia editor, who appears to be between a size 2-4, slides on a gray cashmere hoodie (sized for 11-12-year-olds and priced at £65) with ease. The real not-to-be-missed pieces include a black, mid-thigh, bow-adorned girls’ coat, the aforementioned hoodie and plaid shirt, as well as the shoes—bedazzled ballet flats and colorful high-tops included. The latter, however, will only work if you’re blessed with “freakishly small feet”—as in a size 36 or 37. Now, if only the band jacket (expect to Shiloh Jolie-Pitt in one soon) came in an adult-appropriate size as opposed to ones for toddlers ...

This theory works with other designer brands childrenswear lines, like Burberry, Dior etc.. I’m a size 10 and I happily fit age 14.
I know at http://www.childrensalon.com they often go up to age 16!
