Tata Motors Should Think Different

If Indian car manufacturer Tata Motors designs a super-small car on the cheap and calls it the Nano, can Apple sue? We'll find out soon enough. According to the website, the car's name denotes "high technology and small size," the same reasons we're guessing Team Jobs christened their pint-sized iPod the exact same thing, several years before. The Tata Nano is dubbed "The People's Car," probably because it'll sell for $2,500 a pop, making it the cheapest car (relatively speaking) ever sold. Since "Mini" is already taken, and since the word "Nano" already denotes a tiny iPod, perhaps Tata should've gone with "Micro," or better yet, the "Zune."

Overall, Whats this article is about? There are so many things to discuss about Tata Nano rather than the name.
The article heading - “Tata Motors Should Think Different” - They had thought different, Thats why we got the car for $2,500.

Amazing how many people are taking pot shots at the Tata Nano...they can’t just let things evolve naturally but constantly try to distort reality and sink hopes while desperately seeking further ideas to disparage anything positive. Then there are those that jump on the band wagon claiming anything from having a cheaper car to saying they invented the idea and Tata stole it and then bringing out a mock-up electric or air car and claiming it is selling for even less and in full production.

Agree with the first posting. You’ve missed the point of what this car means. Economic change? Energy Consumption, Enabling economies between villages. Good or bad there is lots to talk about.
Nano by the way means small in the native tongue of the Tata family, Gujarati.
