THOR Welcomes New Chef Jesi Solomon

New York's Lower East Side shuffles another chef, this time from Stanton Social to THOR, the Hotel on Rivington’s in-house restaurant. Newly appointed Executive Chef Jesi Solomon brings some heat to the THOR menu, drawing from his Arizonian days -- bacon and oyster hushpuppies with chipotle sauce, tuna tartare, and spiced rack of lamb with feta chile relleno are not for those with low spice tolerance. Designed by the ever-eccentric Marcel Wanders, the dining vibe is gothic-lite with black chandeliers underneath a domed glass ceiling. Absolute standout: peanut butter sundae with salted chocolate and caramelized banana.
