In my opinion Mike Tyson was one of the most fascinating athletes of the last 25 years. At the time Tyson was running his win count into the upper 20s I had become mesmerized. Outside of K-1 fights there is still really no comparison to Tyson as far as aggressiveness, dominance, and intimidation. For all his perceived shortcomings Tyson left a lasting impression on me that I will not soon forget. Black shoes, no socks. No robe, white towel with a hole for his head. See an opening, sense weakness, end it. A man considered too brutal for a brutal sport. I like to think he just had a different perception of what a prize-fight was. A chance for glory. A very rare thing.
