Vuitton Crushes Britney’s Hummer

Among other things. After a five-year legal battle to protect its brand from misuse in music videos and cover shoots, Louis Vuitton settled out of court with Sony/BMG artists for a reported $300,000. "Offending uses of the Vuitton brand include Da Brat's Louis Vuitton beachball, a Ruben Studdard album cover that had to be pulled from store shelves because his jacket had the logo, and -- in a sort of grossness trifecta -- Britney Spears riding in a Louis Vuitton Hummer." See Britney's pink Humvee at left, with faux Vuitton interior insignia. Classy!
