Wish You Were Here, 21st-Century Style
December 10, 2008
Fun new travel tech Hazel Mail takes postcard sending into the future. For a mere $1.50, you upload photos on the go, type in a personalized message, and press send. Then Hazel Mail takes your (fabulous) photo and (poetic) scribblings and sends them to one of their printers in North America, South America, Asia, or Europe, depending on the location of the recipient -- cutting costs to both the environment and the USPS. Once printed, the postcard is stamped and mailed a slightly shorter distance. Four to five days later, voila: Your photo postcard is delivered and ready to be magneted to the fridge. High technology with low-tech quaintness! Eventually, your Twitters will be converted into paper telegrams delivered by cavemen.
