One of the best things about modern technology is its immediacy. Last night I knew where I needed to be that second to see Daria and Lily having a dance off for Fashion's Night Out thanks to Twitter (they were cutting a rug at Indochine). Likewise, the instantaneous photo uploads from the runways help me plan ahead, save money, and invest in the right beauty products. To really squeeze my dollar, I usually wait to do any kind of fall shopping until fashion week is over, so I can get a good look at what the spring shows boast, in order have some insight into what trends will last. Though the shows have only recently commenced, I've already made a short list of beauty trends that seem to be transcending seasons. Here's a preview what to buy now, judging from the runway faces that will make the easiest transition from winter to spring.

Black Eyes Trend: Heavy-rimmed black eyes that are matte, not greasy, created with a steady hand and many layers to extend the rocker look. Spring 2010: Prabal Gurung paired ultra-dark eyes with his new must-have cocktail dresses. Fall 2009: Yigal Azrouël paired striking eyes with his tough fall looks. Buy Now: M.A.C Fluidline in Blacktrack, La Ligne De Chanel in Nior Lamè, Rimmel London Glam Eyes Lash Flirt Mascara, L’Oreal H.I.P Kohl Liner in Black.

Loud Brows Trend: Defined brow -- whether bold, elongated, ultra-thick, or completely gone, the brow will be a focal point through the seasons. Spring 2010: L.A.M.B showcased rockabilly retro with bold brows to stand out with lined eyes. Fall 2009: Tuleh, Ann Demeulemeester, D&G all had brows take over to create a strong face without going overboard. Buy Now: Shiseido Natural Eyebrow Pencil, Clarins Eyebrow Kit.

Bare Face Trend: The no-makeup makeup look, using subtle coloring ranging from nude, peach and rose, on eyes, lips, and cheeks to look natural, slightly flushed, but put together. Spring 2010 Runway: BCBG Max Azria debuted dewy fresh faces in nudes with a slight peachy flush on the cheek and slightly on the crease of the lids. Fall 2009: Phi, Burberry, and Vera Wang had flawless faces with slight coloring from a nude palette to sharpen the face. Buy Now: Bobbi Brown Lip Crayon in Dusty Nude, Dior 5-Color Eye shadow in Sunset Café, Dior Glowing Color Powder Blush in Pink Copper, Revlon ColorStay Foundation.
