Punch-Drunk Lovely
A few summers back, sweating creativity, we dabbled in silkscreening. The product—a disappointing Pollock on Polo—crushed our ambitious dream of moonlighting as T-shirt designers. Not so for Jess Rotter, who (net)works for Girlie Action Media by day and draws on clothes by night for her label Rotter and Friends.
With ”Lovedrunks,” her second music-inspired collection, Rotter references Neil Young‘s On the Beach, reclusive chanteuse Bobbie Gentry, and pop supergroup O-Town (Ed. note: One of these is simply not true). —Nick Haramis
For more Rotter fodder, check out their spastic website, www.rotterandfriends.com. We’re still getting over a touch of the motion sick.
