I didn't believe for one second that Emma Watson would be the female lead in 50 Shades Of Grey and I was right.
Last week Anonymous allegedly broke into the German movie studio Constantin and obtained documents identifying Watson had been cast as Anastaisa Steele, the virgin-turned-submissive-sex-goddess in E.L. James' erotic novels.
I didn't even watch any of the Harry Potter movies and that makes me feel icky inside.
I was disappointed, because most recent Anastaisa casting rumor had been one that actually made more sense: Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys on Game Of Thrones. (And soon Broadway's Breakfast At Tiffany's.)
But there ayope for her yet? Emma Watson took to Twitter today to respond No Fucking Way in only the most politest, British-est way she could:
Who here actually thinks I would do 50 Shades of Grey as a movie? Like really. For real. In real life.— Emma Watson (@EmWatson) March 17, 2013
So that settles that.
Christian Grey rumors are similarly all over the place: Ian Somerholder, Ryan Gosling, Matt Bomer, Justin Bieber (NO). My vote is for Somerholder and Anna Kendrick.
