Debbie does New York, above, at the Tommy Hilfiger bash.
Who better to release a little slice of Americana than Tommy Hilfiger? The American designer (along with co-author George Lois) celebrated the release of his new book Iconic America last week at the Museum of Modern Art.
The party, forget the book, was not without its share of American eye candyTV chef Rocco DiSpirito, it-girl designer Erin Fetherston, and Elle Fashion Director Nina Garcia, also seen on "Project Runway," were all there. Chatter was made effortless by wine (American, of course) and comfort foods like grilled cheese, Tater Tots, and ice cream cones.
Perhaps the biggest American icon of the night was musical guest Debbie Harry. The '80s superstar, recently immortalized on T-shirts by Marc Jacobs, rocked the house with standards like "Call Me" and "The Tide is High." At the end of the night, we headed over to the Calvin Klein underwear party, which, well, catered to a whole different sort of pride. Leo Kim
