So, I've been anxiously grinding my teeth awaiting the return of my beloved denim jacket from Denim Therapy. Today, it made its way home to me after some intensive care—so soon that I thought maybe it was beyond repair.

Phewww! It looks like Denim Therapy came through. I opened the now-shredded box to find my beautiful jean jacket, fully restored. I searched the tags for signs that this was indeed my treasured jacket and not some denim imposter, and, as I scanned the jacket for familiar lines, I found comfort in the worn out Levis’ tag. My jacket had had a serious makeover. All the giant rips and holes along the seems had been tenderly mended (for $7 an inch). It's like my jacket had more plastic surgery than Heidi Montag!

The best part is that they kept all the small tears and rips that gave my jacket character and only repaired the craters that caused me to relegate it to the boonies of my closet in the first place.

My lovely summer intern, Allison, is sporting the new and improved jacket below. What’s not to smile about! I look forward to another ten years of true love with this classic closet staple—at least until these baby blues wear out again.
