Lots is happening in the world of online retail thanks to editorial-centered websites moonlighting as shopkeepers. From a temporary virtual flea market to an online boutique stocking DailyCandy-approved wares, there's apparently no slowing of digital shop expansions. First off, meet Swirl, self-described as an members-only online sample sale site (in the same vein as Gilt Groupe and Rue La La) coming to you straight from DailyCandy HQ (expect cute illustrations aplenty.) A beta version of the site and its first sale don't launch until November 16, but once sales kick off there will be three held a week, with 80% discounts on varying designer goods -- all chosen by DailyCandy editors. From the looks of the "sign up" option on Swirl's homepage, it appears as though "membership" will be granted to all interested parties for at least the time being.

Meanwhile, a pop-up flea market will be taking place from November 20-22 thanks to ACL's Michael Williams and UrbanDaddy's Randy “Freedom” Goldberg. Simply titled the Pop-up Flea, the installment is the duo's second incarnation of the concept, which revolves around stocking fashions for "smart men" (i.e. styles which Don Draper, Humphrey Bogart, and James Dean would approve). While the site is currently home to only random video shorts, there are a few well worth watching. One of my personal favorites for catchiest commercial ever features the Sammy Stephens Mini Mall rap.
