A trend toward kid-friendly fashion is continuing, and I don't mean in the vein of Stella McCartney's kids line for the GAP. More like Stella's Bambi-themed SS10 ads, Harper's Bazaar's Sesame Street-themed editorial, Marc Jacobs and Miss Piggy, and Uniqlo's teaming with Disney. Next up: Dov Charney. Sesame Street and American Apparel may seem like a wildly bizarre combination, but the celebrated children's show is in fact the latest place the latter has sourced inspiration.
Specifically, American Apparel is paying homage to Sesame Street's 40th birthday with a series of unisex t-shirts. (That is, without the show's approval.) Choose from the Cookie Monster, Big Bird and a "group shot" among other designs. Typically, Oscar doesn't get much love.
