MyFDB.com is the latest fashion porthole to hit the web. Arguably the first of its kind, the site aims to amalgamate past fashion ads and editorials in one over-stuffed database. "It compiles makeup artists, manicurists and hairstylist credits in addition to editors, photographers and brands," says the Wall Street Journal. Translation: this is a site bound to be a fantastic resource for fashion industry alumnae from a variety of fields.

As of its inception, MyFDB lists over 30,000 personal profiles and 6,600 company profiles. "The content goes back to roughly 2007," ads the WSJ. While there are still a few kinks to work out (the site hasn't cited models, stylists, etc. in a number of editorials), according to the WSJ it's because MyFDB verifies all credits before publishing them, which takes time. The downfall: founded by former male model Keith Britton, the site, which launched September 30, requires a $15/month or $125.99/year to join (although for the time being you can sign up for a free trial). Considering Women's Wear Daily, which offers editorial content and up-to-the-minute fashion show photos charges $99/year for online access, the price point seems a bit steep. But if you're looking for inspiration or historical reference for past fashion editorials and ads, this is the place to go.
