From featuring music by Ariel Pink and Sleigh Bells in their promo video to enlisting Adrien Brody and William Dafoe to walk their Milan runway to tapping a certain pouty actor to model in their campaign, it's clear that Prada likes to do things a little bit differently. Since we're all used to the vivid photography of the Italian fashion house's fascinating collections, they decided to pull the rug from under us and commission a top graphic designer to take their spring/summer accessories to the virtual world. This is "Parallel Universes."
Illustrated by Paris vs. New York: A Tally of Two Cities
author (and designer collaboration
darling) Vahram Muratyan, this unique project is a "virtual road" paved with Prada spring/summer 2012 men's and women's accessories. The "parallel universes" are, of course, real life and the digital world. Muratyan breaths new life into collection favorites like the men's Rocket shoe, which, in this story, transforms into the earring of a red-lipped woman and the roof of an imaginary skyscraper. The coolest part? You can watch all of these illustrations come to life here
