Apparently Lady Gaga isn't the only one who got a pair of Alexander McQueen SS10 shoes fresh off the runway. Last night Daphne Guinness sported head-to-toe SS10 McQueen to an event in NYC honoring Nars' 15th anniversary and Francois Nars' according new book, proving that while the monstrously high shoes look impossible to walk in, a seasoned skyscraper heel wearer can in fact manage to stay upright in such contraptions for at least a handful of consecutive hours.
Fashionista got a first-hand assessment of what it's actually like to wear the shoes in question from Guinness herself. "They’re quite light actually," the heiress and fashion icon said of what was happening below her ankle. She then followed up with, "they’re less weighty than the Nina Ricci’s. Does that help?" No, not really. As Fashionista points out, Guinness is perhaps the only non-model in the world to have actually "worn both shoes in real not-on-the-runway life."
