Diet Coke is embracing its inner fashionista with a web endeavor that launches tomorrow. Entitled "Style Series," the not-yet-released webisodes will feature interviews with trendsetters such as Rihanna, designer Cynthia Rowley, and artist Robin Thicke. Certainly, Coca-Cola is looking to tap into the success of fashion-focused reality programs from Project Runway and Model.Live to Stylista and The Zoe Project. But the driving concept of this series is significantly different.
According to Market Watch, the show will be hosted by Glamour magazine’s West Coast editor Rachel Zalis and will focus on the creative process of both designer and muse. While the quality of the content remains to be seen, the idea of garnering a “sneak peek” at Rihanna’s collaboration with Gucci’s Frida Giannini is something few fashion-lovers would miss. I also have a feeling it's one of which a certain Britney Spears-loving, Diet Coke-consuming fashion designer would definitely approve.
