Despite being just 26-years-old, fashion designer Esteban Cortazar has already had a career with highs and lows warranting a screenplay. Not only was Cortazar one of the youngest fashion designers ever to show at a major fashion week (he was essentially the Tavi of Miami, premiering his namesake collection there at a scant 14 years of age), Cortazar has since proven he's no novelty act—he went on to assume the position of Creative Director at Emmanuel Ungaro, though he left under especially unfortunate circumstances (namely, in response to Lindsay Lohan being hired on as an artistic consultant). Now, Cortazar is re-entering the fashion game via a partnership with Latin American brand Exito. "This collaboration is the first of three capsule collections by the Colombian-born designer; in the footsteps of what others have done for brands like H&M or Topshop. The show, produced by MHT Productions, was presented as part of Colombiamoda, the countries fashion week," says Diane Pernet's A Shaded View on Fashion.

Of the collection, Alice Pfeiffer writes, expect "dark, elongated silhouettes, with Cortazar’s signature knits and knots, along with rock n’ roll leggings, bold touches of color, audacious layering, and elegant booty-fication. In other words, the challenge that Esteban picked wasn’t just to import French chic to Colombia. Rather, he wanted to get women from Paris and Bogota talking." The collection is exciting in and of itself, but so too is Cortazar's return to fashion's front seat. The only question is, what will he do next?
