Remember Gant? Probably not. It's a men's wear brand that launched in New Haven in 1949 and enjoyed its heyday in the '60s. And now? Now, it's back, having hired designer Michael Bastian as its new creative director. Bastian's been making fashion-forward work wear for his own namesake men's wear label for eight seasons now, and will have his Gant debut at New York Fashion Week next month.

For a sneak peek at what's in store, Gant is serving up a preview video on its website. With Alex Carlton having just taken over operations at L.L. Bean, this is indeed a good year for the men who love classic, blue collar American men's wear.
