Henry Holland has been busy this year. The designer -- a "one-man self-marketing wiz" as Style.com phrased it following House of Holland's entertaining SS10 runway show -- is locking down a few big-name collaborations, not to mention perhaps planning a cross-Atlantic move. "I just did a collaboration with Levi’s that will be in stores in February," Holland told Women's Wear Daily at the recent launch of the second annual Six Scents Series, which he hosted. Holland told WWD his Levi's line "will include men's and women's jeans, jackets, dresses and tops." For the Six Scents Series -- a limited-edition collection of six fragrances customized by as many fashion designers (Holland included) -- the designer said he wanted to create something that "suggested friends gathered on an overstuffed purple couch" (e.g. flowers like lilac and mimosa).
Holland also just recently completed a collaboration with tights mavens Pretty Polly, the fruits of which are on sale at Topshop. And rumors are swirling that the designer himself may soon be joining the British retailer in setting up shop stateside. Holland told Grazia, "I want to move here. Every time I come, the need to live here becomes more and more urgent and I want to go home less and less. I spend my entire time here plotting about how I would do it." Sadly for the New York fashion set, he also assured the publication that should a move across the ocean transpire, he'd continue to show his whimsical collections at London Fashion Week.
