Leather may be popping up left and right on NYFW SS10 runways, but it also found a new home in the Lower East Side via brand new boutique VEDA. The brainchild of Lyndsey D. Butler, an NYU-grad who was raised between Texas and Argentina, VEDA was born back in 2008 out of Butler's dream of satisfying the all-too-common search for the perfect leather jacket. And if the roster of celebs wearing the fruits of her labor is any indication, then satisfy she has (VEDA counts Cameron Diaz, Jessica Simpson and Kim Kardashian as fans among other starlets popular with the paparazzi).

Tucked away into a cozy, minute space at 132 Ludlow Street (look for the green neon sign), VEDA is stocking an array of leather goods that warrant a place on a holiday wish list for FW09. There's a shrunken bomber complete with an over-sized Shearling collar, a coat that combines a denim vest with a leather collar and sleeves (à la Alexander Wang), a great studded motorcycle jacket, as well as leather leggings and a fantastic zip-front leather panel tank dress. Put simply, if you're looking to add a bit of leather into your wardrobe, Veda's new LES shop is a must-see.
