I don't know how Miamians do it. The last 72 hours have been filled with so many shows and parties that my hair is a maddening mess, my eyes can barely function and my legs have transitioned from sturdy support systems to staggering limp providers. With that said, it's been one helluva week and I'm seriously sad that it all ends tomorrow. While there have been tons of swimwear-powered events scattered across Miami Beach, the epicenter lies at The Raleigh, where Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim has been holding down the fort for the last five days. From Mara Hoffman's technicolor tribalwear (pictured) to Suboo's sartorial geometry, behold the high notes. 

Friday featured a penthouse presentation by Éclairée that was heavy on vintage one-pieces with sheer cutouts. The vibrant retro turbans donned by the models felt very Joan Crawford film noir. Next, I hit up the Bespoke by Mercedes-Benz poolside event hosted by Laure Heriard Dubreuil from The Webster and jewelry designer Mary Kate Steinmiller. Guests were invited to create DIY resort accessories like wrap bracelets and statement necklaces using the luxury auto company's luxe leather. The day capped with a runway show for Mercedes-Benz Presents designer Vitamin A by Amahlia Stevens, which had a Grecian bohemian vibe mixed with a laidback cool that represented the designer's Cali upbringing.

On Saturday I strayed to The Webster for a lunch starring stylist, designer and consistent purveyor of printspiration, Daniella Ivana Sredni. In between providing guests with complimentary style consultations, I chatted with the rare born and raised Miamian about her stellar swimwear label, Aquarius. A serial scuba diver, Sredni revealed that her latest resort range was "inspired by the cosmic nature of underwater seascapes." Fancy. Moving from one inspiring chat to the next, I caught up with the inimitable Mara Hoffman back at The Raleigh before her highly-anticipated resort 2013 reveal. She said that designing the collection was an "internal journey" and there wasn't a specific image or experience that motivated her aesthetic, which means that Hoffman's raw imagination is responsible for her ever-popular creations. The show was followed by a packed bash at one of BlackBook's party venues of choice, FDR at The Delano. 

Sunday hosted three more of my swimwear designers to watch, starting with Australian label White Sands, which was brimming with printed swimsuits and retro high-waisted bikini bottoms—a standout swimwear trend this season. Suboo was one of my favorite shows by far, thanks to the Aussie designer's clever bursts of bright color and ability to make sheer look chic by infusing lightweight chiffon with geometric details. L*Space was another crowd-pleaser and offered more high-waisted two-pieces, as well as fringe bodysuits and flouncy floral kaftans.
