Hint mag has a first look at Acne's pre-Spring collection, and the first word that comes to mind is "party." There are mini-dresses with plenty of tulle under their skirts, perfect for dancing into the wee hours. Also plenty of bows (including a giant leather version). As for footwear there are pairs of platforms accented with bright red pom-poms. Also on Acne's agenda for early 2010: no pants, though the collection features a pair of denim hot pants sure to help further the anti-trouser movement.

Meanwhile, big-name designers have continued rolling out their resort collections this past week. But one of the most memorable remains that of Celine, where Phoebe Philo presented her first full collection since leaving the helm of Chloe three years ago. Her departure (sparked by a pregnancy and desire to spend more time with her family) was widely mourned within the industry, and her return to head of a major brand has been especially well-received. Not to mention the collection in question was exceedingly strong, spotted with all the basic elements a Philophile could hope for: oversized jackets, sculptural separates, color-blocking at its best, and perhaps the perfect slim-fitting silk pant. "The girl has grown up," Style.com said of the collection. But it's not all business -- there's a sequined jumper and short leather shorts thrown in for good measure.
