Three noteworthy happenings are taking place in vintage retail this week, specifically regarding three of the field's front-runners: Resurrection Vintage, Screaming Mimi's, and decadestwo. Resurrection -- the brainchild of designer and vintage maven Katy Rodriguez, who has boutiques on both coasts in NYC and LA, not to mention her own namesake line -- is moving into the digital age and opening its very first online store. Shop vintage from the likes of Thierry Mugler, Chanel, and Pucci. And the best part: "to help them kickstart their adventures in e-commerce ... [they're taking] 15% off their offerings," says Racked (to get the discount just email {encode="pressoffice@resurrection-krmh.com" title="pressoffice@resurrection-krmh.com"} with your first and last name and your email address).

Meanwhile, Decadestwo -- the LA-born couture consignment mecca that sources its high-fashion archive from many a Hollywood starlets' closets (and is the sister store to LA's Decades) -- is opening a pop-up shop come Thursday. The digs will be located at Post 26 in the Brentwood Country Mart solely from November 13-15 (10am-7pm Friday and Saturday, and 12pm-5pm Sunday). And back in NYC, Screaming Mimi's is introducing items from its archive -- namely, leather. It's good timing too, seeing as the fabric made appearances on seemingly every other SS10 runway. "The downtown store, a favorite of vintage enthusiasts since the late 70s, is releasing an all-leather archive this month, culled from the personal collection of a certain daddy with a thing for fine craftsmanship," says Style.com. The donor remains anonymous but his collection (which ranges in sizes from a women's 4-8) includes "every leather influence from motocross to rodeo." There are also arguably "more accessible ... accessories, which range from gauntlet gloves to biker caps." If your interest is piqued, don't hesitate. This collection is bound to go fast. Apparently, model and former muse to Alexander Wang Alice Dellal has already picked up one of studded bracelets.
