Haute couture shows kicked off today in Paris and guess who's sitting front row? Celebrities, fashion editors and Tavi, the 13-year-old blogger-cum-fashion phenomenon. She was spotted front row at Dior's presentation today, confirming rumors that started swirling online last week (and, in the case of The Moment, were promptly removed from their twitter feed) that the blogger would be attending haute couture on behalf of Pop. The latter put Tavi on its cover last fall, but now it appears Tavi is in full-on contributor mode, interviewing models backstage and reporting on the whole haute couture shabang. But, the fact that Tavi is getting such preferential treatment, even in the blog world, is definitely bound to ruffle some feathers.
('
’)Grazia, for one, wasn't pleased when their view of Christian Dior's catwalk was obstructed by the Stephen Jones made bow hat that Tavi sported from her front row seat. "Dior through Tavi's Pesky hat," they tweeted. (Her newly blue hued hair didn't seem to bother anyone as much.) Read: candy-colored hair and bow's are big, and 13-year-old bloggers from the Midwest are the toast of the town. Still, don't expect full-on Tavi over-saturation anytime soon. The blogger has already been inundated with interview requests and reality TV show and book deal offers--the latter two of which, says http://www.chicagotribune.com/features/style/chi-teen-fashion-sensationdec30,0,7899258.story?page=2 the Chicago Tribune, Tavi has continually turned down.
