What began as neckwear has since expanded into a full-fledged clothing line for the NYC-based brand Timo Weiland. But, thanks to a collaboration with Anna Sheffield (the designer behind Bing Bang) it looks as though the brainchild of Alan Eckstein and Timo Weiland will soon be adding jewelry design to the labels' repertoire. The two brands worked together on a line of accessories for Timo Weiland's SS10 collection and it won't be the last collaborative effort from the threesome. Style.com says that they'll soon be expanding the collaboration into its own capsule collection.
But, if you're looking for something a bit more macabre you might want to check out Surface to Air's eye-catching SS10 creations, or the whimsical creations of Brooklyn's own Vera Meat, which is celebrating its first-ever "studio happening" tonight. Having trouble keeping track of all the jewelry lines springing up in the industry as of late? Stay tuned: Women's Wear Daily is teaming up with JCK magazine for exactly that reason. The fashion media outlets are partnering to launch a magazine and website, simply called WWD/JCK, which "will bridge fashion and jewelry with in-depth editorial features, fashion content and industry news." (Read: it may pick up where the now defunct W Jewelry supplement -- also once under the Fairchild Publications umbrella -- left off.) The first issue debuts in April of next year.
