In honor of the new MFA in Fashion Design and Society program at Parsons The New School for Design, the institution will be showcasing the thesis collections of their inaugural graduating class, deemed The First Eighteen. The show is being held during MADE Fashion Week at Milk Studios on Saturday, September 8 at 11am. Although all of these wildly talented graduates from across the globe are poised to change the fashion game, I've highlighted five trailblazers that are destined for superior cult fandom. 

This is kind of amazing: To toast the launch of Anna Dello Russo's accessories capsule collection for H&M that hits stores on October 4, a new music video will be released that stars the notoriously over-the-top Vogue Japan editor singing and dancing to an electro-pop tune called "Fashion Shower." The song is produced by well-known Italian DJ Emiliano Pepe and features ADR rap-chanting "You need a fashion shower" while a C+C Music Factory-ish beat pumps in the background. 

A slew of style experts, fashion fiends and famous faces swarmed Simply Stylist's debut seminar and shopping soirée in Los Angeles earlier this year. The event, founded by stylish PR vet (and one of Forbes' female founders to watch) Sarah Pollack Boyd, was developed to offer a unique forum where fashion influencers could compare notes and fashion hopefuls could absorb industry advice straight from the pros. Here, I chatted with Boyd to learn more about the concept and what we can expect from Simply Stylist New York taking place at the W New York on Sunday, September 9.

Miuccia Prada hearts Hollywood. Following the Italian fashion designer's casting of Boardwalk Empire star Michael Pitt as the face of Prada menswear, she's enlisted four young female directors from around the world to create four short films for Miu Miu that star a slew of famous faces.
