Public Displays of French-Kissing

It doesn’t get more public than Union Square, which is where Olivier-Joseph Van Temsche and Rasmus Michau will stage their Kiss-in at 4 p.m. tomorrow. Strangers will gather together and kiss the people to the left of them and to the right of them, as Gandhi looks on in approval, and George Washington does so in disgust. But since Temsche and Rasmus are Frenchmen, these kisses will not be of the closed-mouth variety. Your tongue will be in their cheek.
The men, who call themselves “French kiss instructors,” hope to take this “artistic performance” across the world to create the world’s longest French-kissing chain ever.
