BlackBook Lowdown

A Jerry Kleiner joint, which means it's fancy and has tons of custom made this-and-that, but unlike his other Chicago restaurants, 33 Club is antique-y and expansive: There's a 20-foot tall mahogany ceiling, wooden and herringbone flooring, a back bar stuffed with collectibles and artwork hanging from Kleiner's private collection. Chef Daniel Kelly pushes American classics to the edge, updating everything from traditional bar grub - truffle oil deviled eggs, bacon popcorn - to entrees of prime sirloin and stuffed lobster. The place looks like you're going to have to sacrifice a week's salary, but unless you're a street performer it's not the case.
